The Ammodo Science Award for Fundamental Research 2027 is open for nominations. Nominators are invited to identify and nominate exceptional mid-career researchers across all scientific domains. The Award provides laureates with the freedom and resources to pursue bold, curiosity-driven fundamental research at the frontiers of knowledge.

Timeline
Nominations are accepted until Friday 25 September 2026, 23:59 at the latest.
Laureates will be announced in spring 2027.
Domains and budget
The Award is presented biennially in four scientific domains: Biomedical Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. The Award consists of eight awards of €350,000 each per edition. Per domain awards are granted to a maximum of two laureates.
